Program icons

To use alternative icons in the program, simply create a "PENetwork.icl" file (icon library) and put it in the same folder.
A sample .icl file is included in the AutoIt3 source code (see Downloads).
This sample file contains the icons currently used in PENM.
Alternatively, you can use a specific icon library in a specific color scheme; see the section below.

Command-line options for PENetwork.exe

Here is a short summary of the available command-line options.
The parameters "/profileeditor" and "/wifiexporter" can be used directly under Windows.
Simply extract "PENetwork.exe" from the download archive (see Downloads) into a folder and create a shortcut with one of these two parameters.
This lets you run the "PENM profile editor" or the "PENM WiFi exporter" directly.

ParameterDescription
/autostartStarts the PENM network installation automatically without prompting.
/debugLogs PENM usage/activity to %TEMP%\PENMDebug.txt.
/focusnoSets the input focus to the 'No' button in the PENM network startup dialog.
/forceservicesInstalls network components/services even if no network card is found.
/guidisable=maskHides the specified tabs. The mask can be any combination of the following values:
1 - Computer, 2 - Sharing, 4 - Drives, 8 - Profiles, 16 - Other, 32 - WiFi, 64 - Advanced
128 - WiFi preferred, 256 - WiFi service, 512 - Size button
Example: 16 + 32 -> hide 'Other' (16) and 'WiFi' (32) -> 48
Note: The "Config"/"IP-Settings" and "About" tabs are always shown.
If the "WiFi" tab is enabled, the "Available networks" tab is always shown.
/ini=ini fileLoads the specified ini file instead of 'PENetwork.ini'.
/noprofileselectDisables the profile selection GUI that is shown by default on the first PENM startup.
/profile=nameLoads the specified profile directly from the ini file (see '/ini=').
/profileeditorStarts the PENM configuration/profile editor directly.
/shareallAutomatically shares all local drives if sharing has been installed and started (can be used with /startsharing).
/smalltabStarts PENM with small tabs on the left.
/startsharingAutomatically installs and starts sharing after the network installation.
/topmostMakes the PENM network installation window the topmost window on the desktop.
/useprofilesReads profiles from the ini file.
/wifiexporterDirectly starts a small WiFi export GUI that exports local WiFi profiles to XML files.

Registry options

Some options can be created before PENM runs under PE; others are changed or set automatically at runtime.
The first key is "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PENetwork".
Some PENM and PENM profile editor preferences are saved here.
The second key is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PENetwork".
By default, the values are registry strings and are set to "1" (on/set) or "0" (off/not set).
In one of the next versions, the first (user) key will become the primary key for all options.
However, the second key will still be read for backward compatibility.
Important: registry values always take precedence; ini values (see below) are only secondary.

INI options (for files such as PENetwork.ini)

The main options must be written to the main section [PENetwork] of the .ini file.
The following options/values are only used on the first startup of PENM.
Other settings, such as color schemes, are always read from the ini file.
By default, a value must be set to "Yes" or "No"; other formats are given in the description.
